PRINCE MICHEAL JACKSON TO MAKE HIS FIRST SOLO APPEARANCE.

Son of the late king of pop Michael Jackson, Prince Michael Jackson, will be making his first appearance without a family escort on November 10th.

Although Jackson will be making his first appearance without a Jackson clan rep, he won’t be entirely alone. The 14-year-old will be on hand for the auction of handwritten lyrics to his father’s hit “Bad” at a charity auction in the late fall. The auction- in Berlin, the site of the elder Jackson’s infamous 2005 baby-dangling stunt- will benefit the Tribute to Bambi foundation, a German charity dedicated to assisting needy children.

As for the event details, a spokesman for the shindig says Prince Michael will be integrated, and that the popstar’s son “will walk the red carpet and present the manuscript on stage surrounded by children.” Another source commented on Prince Michael’s first real foray away from the Jackson fam:

“He won’t be traveling alone… but he won’t have any family members with him.”

The younger Jackson and his siblings Paris and Blanket were notoriously close and even protective of their famous dad, and the three were understandably grief stricken when Jackson passed away somewhat suddenly in 2009. At the memorial for the star, daughter Paris sobbed:

The eldest Jackson child, Prince Michael is expected to testify against his father’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, at his manslaughter trial. One source close to the family said:

BOWEN: Robbers invade bowen university.

Students of Bowen University today scampered for safety as armed robbers invaded the premises of the private university located in Osun State. The robbers succeeded in robbing one of the banks inside the school premises. There are two banks in the school – Sterling Bank and Skye Bank.

No student, teaching or non-teaching staff was seriously injured, but heard one of the guards at the bank was shot dead.

LAGOS: Court nullifies Lastma's power to fine offenders.

Federal High Court in Lagos has voided some sections of the law establishing the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

Justice Okon Abang, in a judgment, declared that Sections 9, 11, 12 and 13 of the law establishing  LASTMA is unconstitutional and of no effect on the grounds that it contravenes Section 36 of the Constitution, which guarantee every citizen’s right to fair hearing.

The court upheld LASTMA’s power to arrest traffic offenders, but held that it lacks the powers to impose fine on such offenders. It added that the power to impose fine on anybody who contravenes an existing law resides only with the court.

The court  held that the imposition of fine on any traffic offender by LASTMA amounted to being a judge in its own cause.

“Section 9, 11, 12, and 13 of the law establishing LASTMA is unconstitutional. It is against the spirit of the Section 36 of the Constitution, which gives right of fair hearing to every Nigerian. Moreover, that would amount to being a judge in your own cause,” the court held.

It awarded N500,000 damages against LASTMA.

A Lagos  resident, Jonathan Odutola, whose car was impounded in March and compelled to pay a fine instituted the suit.

He said his car developed some mechanical problems on the Third Mainland Bridge and stopped, and that in an effort to ensure that the car did not obstruct traffic, he immediately called a towing-van which towed the vehicle completely out of the road

Georgia has executed convicted murderer Troy Davis. He was put to death by lethal injection last night at a prison in central Georgia for the murder of a police officer in 1989. What a humiliating situation this is. His case perched since 1989, and by then the author and members of team get fame were not yet thought to be conceived, and now we are here to witness his final execution after sentence that dated far back 1989, and to announce it as a blog post.

Man Found Dead,Half way in a Grave.

An unidentified man, in his thirties, was found dead on Sunday, at a grave site, while apparently attempting to rob a corpse in Kazaure, Jigawa State. 

The man was said to be attempting to exhume the corpse, which had been buried earlier on Sunday morning, in an effort to steal some valuables said to have been buried with it.

While making the attempt, the loose earth collapsed, trapping the man as shown in the picture. He died on the spot.

He was found, hours later, dead, but onlookers said it appeared that he had struggled to free himself from the grave site, but could not.

From the injuries sustained on his head, it was apparent that he had hit his head on an object in the grave which, perhaps, made him unable to free himself.

Also, sympathisers said he might have been knocked unconscious, and so could not have been able to shout for help.

Nigerian Tribune investigations could not, however, ascertain how he was related to the corpse, or how he knew what valuables had been buried with it, as his corpse was yet to be claimed at the time of filing this report.

We have seen God healed different kinds of people but it was not me that carried out those miracles as I was only an instrument in God’s hands. Even the miracles confused and baffled me just as it baffled all other observers and so, I would not say that it was me that did it but I would say that it was God. I have seen God do what I considered to be impossible and up till now, my mind would prick me to ask if or not it was in a trance or it was real.

Ordinarily, they don’t add up but I have had to keep quiet and say to myself that if it is of God, He would do another type and He has done various kinds of miracles over the years which are spread across the world. In our crusade in Umuahia, God told me the very first day of the Great Umuahia for Christ Crusade that 15 cripples would walk. I have never seen such number walked before. Even Christians from my hometown came to me and told me that if I was not sure that this would happen, then, I should not come to the crusade ground because the people would be coming to the place with their stones and Bibles. But everything happened completely and I was struck with fear.

While speaking in Abiriba, where you can call my home, God told me to ask them to bring every blind person they knew and that without prayers, those that would see, would see and people brought the blind from all over the Local Governments and out of 18 blind people brought there that day, 17 people confessed that they saw without prayers. My uncle who was a pastor asked me what this was, because, according to him, miracles could not happen without prayers and I told him.

Chocolate City's Ice Prince would launch is debut album titled E.L.I, an acronym for 'Everybody Loves Ice Prince' on the 9th of October 2011. Chocolate city would be partnering with Conceptshot Nigeria and Pearl Entertainment for the concert at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ice Prince had earlier released two singles off the E.L.I. album – “Oleku” and “Superstar” which won him multiple awards. The two songs have worldwide appeal evidenced by constant high demand for Iceprince to perform them at shows across the continents. Both songs have also been reported to have the highest remixes and downloads in the year of release. E.L.I. has said to be a compilation of tracks that will further portray Iceprince as a multi-talented hip-hop artiste.
There would be support performances from artistes featured on the album. As a part of the media build up to the event, Ice Prince will make a number of appearances at the hottest spots in Lagos and also have a television and radio tour.

Producer Samklef set to tie the knot in October.

The ace producer/artiste Samklef is indeed having a good year, after coming from many years in the background to contribute to the success of the year’s bestselling album from Wizkid’s Superstar, to dropping his own widely-acclaimed album Nonilizing, and winning the award for best producer at City People Awards ’11 and most recently, the NEAs which held in the United States; he is now reportedly heading to the altar.
We have been informed that he went for 'introduction' to the girl's parents and Yvonne is his long term girlfriend, an undergraduate in the University of Lagos. The introduction took place two weeks before he left for the NEAs in the States. The wedding would take place at a date in October.
Also, the producer was quoted in an interview in one of the national dailies over the weekend as consenting to a question which suggested that he recently got married. Samklef's talk of a secret marriage is on the heels of rumours of Wizkid fathering a lovechild and Terry G having a secret wedding.
Efforts to get an official statement from his camp proved abortive as his publicist Skillz YBRL maintained he had no comments on the matter at the moment.

Boko Haram: Gunmen kill the man Obasanjo met in Maiduguri over his welcome offered by him to Obaanjo.

So on Thursday Sept 15th, ex-president Obasanjo paid a very private visit to the family of slain Boko Haram leader/founder, Mohammed Yusuf, in Maiduguri, where he begged the family to give peace a chance and forgive those who killed their leader.

The man Obasanjo met with was Mohammed Yusuf's brother-in-law, 48year old Babakura Fuggu. Just two days after the meeting, Fuggu was gunned down at his Borno state residence, same venue of the meeting with Obasanjo.

A lone gun man, reportedly in traditional Fulani flowing garb, suspected to be a member of Boko Haram, entered Fuggu's residence at about 1.20pm yesterday afternoon and shot him to death.

The police in Maiduguri say the killing was most likely in protest of Obasanjo's visit to the Yusufs. No one has been arrested yet.

Gucci Mane: Rapper Gucci Mane Sentenced to Six Months in Prison for Throwing Woman Out of Moving Car

Rapper Gucci Mane was sentenced Tuesday to six months in jail after pleading guilty to pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle, WGCL-TV reported.

The Atlanta-based rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was arrested in April for the January incident and charged with two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct.

In addition to the jail sentence, Davis was sentenced by a DeKalb County Court judge to 30 months' probation and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine. He must also attend a 12-week anger management course, refrain from contacting his victim and pay her medical bills, totaling more than $5,000.www.mannastores.com

He was being held Tuesday in DeKalb County Jail.

Davis, 31, was on probation for a 2005 assault case at the time of the incident. He was also arrested in 2008 for violating that probation.

Then in December, Davis was at the home of fellow Georgia rapper Waka Flocka Flame when it was raided by police, who found ammunition and drugs. He was detained but not arrested during the raid.
