Her face etched with pain, a child trains for Olympic glory while her gymnastics trainer stands on her legs. Its a powerful reminder of this little girl’s tender age as she trains as hard as any adult athlete in the Western world.

Nanning Gymnasium in Nanning, China, is one of many ruthless training camps across the country to which parents send their children to learn how to be champions.

But while training techniques appear extreme to Western eyes, they provide an insight into why China’s athletes at London 2012 seem so easily able to swim, dive, lift and shoot their way to victory.

Gymnastic stars are known for starting at an incredibly early age, and this group of children appear no different as they battled to complete the demanding routines on bars, rings, and mats.

Boys and girls who looked no older than five or six-years-old were tasked with swinging on beams, hanging from pairs of rings and bounding across floor mats during the physically strenuous training sessions.

Well, what baffles me, and as a matter of fact instigated this post is the sharp contrast in the daily lives of Barrack Obama and African Presidents, particularly Nigeria. The transparency in delivery and the non concealed operation of the government associated with American Government, when compared to Nigeria and Africa in region-generality. Using the location of the seat of power as our object of personification. THE ASO ROCK AND THE WHITE HOUSE.The white house is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., while Aso Rock (Presidential Villa) is located in Abuja, Nigeria. No one knows the street exactly, how the building looks like, more than ten gates to pass, with heavily armed foot soldiers, police, S.S.S and body guards sprawled within and around the premises. This simply depicts how concealed the operation of government is, and how the people are cut off from being partisan in the affairs of their own country. The White house is visited by many residents of the United States, when its open for visit, and alas depicts the transparency in the governmental affairs. This trend is not only peculiar to Nigerian Presidents, but Africa predominantly. A saying goes "he that perpetuates evil, is he who resides in the dark and runs when no one pursue" Why will a leader(s) choose to live and lead from darkness, when the notion behind democracy simply preaches transparency, honesty  and freedom. There are many instances that could be sited within the African circle of Power that depicts the evil perpetuated in darkness. Lets leave it at the location of the seat of power, lest all heavens let loose.

COULD IT BE THAT D BANJ HAS BEEN DROPPED FROM G.O.O.D MUSIC??

If the latest development at Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music label could be read different meanings to, then, it might be a fresh trouble for D'Banj. This is because the Kokomaster's name, who was reportedly signed on the label in 2011, was missing in the latest Complex Magazine cover that featured the label's artistes.

In the August-September 2012 issue of the magazine, G.O.O.D Music artistes; Kanye West, John Legend, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Common, Big Sean and 2 Chainz were featured but D'Banj's name or picture was no where to be found.

Some have already started asking questions about the true status of the Nigerian music star in G.O.O.D Music label. Others have asked if D'Banj has now been dumped by Kanye West? For some time now, D'Banj has frequented Nigeria unlike when it was believed that he would spend most of his G.O.O.D Music time in America, where the label is based.

But in a twist, he became a regular in London after his reported Mercury label deal.

In 2012, D'Banj and Don Jazzy parted ways after it was reportedly that both stars were signed by Kanye West into his label.

Some have opined that time will unravel the truth soon.

Death of the Ghanian President

A statement sent from the president’s office on Tuesday confirms that Ghana’s President John Atta Mills has died,
“It is with a heavy heart…that we announce the sudden and untimely death of the president of the Republic of Ghana,” the statement said.
It said the president, 68, died a few hours after being taken ill but no further details were given.
